Faces-TomJoeTom Joe
“Hops ‘r Better” Winer

Wine: 2011 Carmenere
Type: Red
Vineyard: Rios de Chile – Pacific Wine Group

Buy local

“Intense appearance, with intense aromas. A full-bodied red. The finish is complex. An overall excellent Carmenere from Chile. Love this wine! Rate it 90 in Quini and I’m confident you’ll agree too!”
“This is the Life” Winer

Wine: Summerland Santa Barbara Chardonnay 2013
Type: White, Dry
Vineyard: Summerland

Buy local or find it at

Yummy goodness in a glass! I simply love the flavors in this wine – lime, green apple and a touch of oak. Very impressed with the finish as it lingers just to the right amount. Smooth, not too acidic for my taste. Lovin’ it!

The “Timeless” Winer

Wine: Woop Woop Cabernet Sauvignon 2010
Type: Dry, Red
Vineyard: Woop Woop Winery (Australia)

Buy local or find it at

I know, I just sampled one of these but come on, ‘Woop Woop Winery’?  How could I not want to go back there? Put this in your crystal and you are going to end up with stained glass, the color is that rich.  The scent is of red currants, cherries, licorice and mocha.  In the mouth, it is absolutely bursting with blackberry, blueberry jam and licorice.

The “Hippy” Winer

Wine: Chateau Musar Hochar Pere et Fils, Lebanon 2009
Type: Red, Dry
Vineyard: Chateau Musar Winery (Lebanon)

Buy local or find it at

We had been to the wines of Chateau Musar before and found them to be delightful. This wine had a deep, dark ruby color with an intense nose filled with rich, dark berries, black fruits and dark chocolate. It looked as if its flavor would be just as intense and it absolutely was. This wine is beautifully balanced, not too complex with a good tannin structure and a finish that goes on and on.
