“I’m amazed that rating this 68 in Quini my opinion is still 8/10. It bodes well to try wines yourself to determine if you find it meets your tastes. If you lie fruity aromas, then get this wine and let me know your thoughts.”

“This is the Life” Winer

Wine: 2013 Rkatsiteli
Type: White
Vineyard: Dr. Konstantin  Frank

Buy local or find it at Wine.com

Rkatsiteli is the oldest wine grape known to man with origins in the Republic of Georgia.  An herbaceous wine with notes of fresh basil, lime rind, peach and elegant mineral undertones.

Miki and Tom Joe brought this over as a birthday gift for Elizabeth.  Not unlike her, I found it to be clear, bright and intense.  It filled my mouth with the heady taste of dark cherries and spices from around the world.  The ending had a delightfully silky finish that said, ‘Let us leave this place and ……talk.’

Wine: The Seeker Pinot Noir 2012
Type: Red, Dry
Vineyard: The Seeker Winery (France)

Buy local or find it at Wine.com

Great color that was clear and bright.  Silky smooth and full of earthiness and spice that wasn’t over-whelming.  A quick and easy wine that I found to be happy sharing your mouth with just about any food.   My Brian was sipping on it while munching hot dogs (eeeww!) and pondering assorted UBOI’s. (Read some of his blogs, you’ll find out).
