Faces-TomJoeTom Joe
“Hops ‘r Better” Winer

Wine: 2013 Sauvignon Blanc
Type: White
Vineyard: Grassini Family Vineyards

Buy local

“Bright appearance, with intense aromas. A full-bodied white.
The finish is layered-complex. An overall excellent sauvignon blanc from the USA. I really enjoyed this Chardonnay and rated it 87 in Quini.”
“This is the Life” Winer

Wine: 2010 Merlot
Type: Red, Dry
Vineyard: Moretti

Buy local or find it at

A most exquisite Merlot! So much more than expected with brilliant, deep plum color, spicy nose, and spicy full flavors with a lingering finish. This wine could be my “go to Merlot”….easy!

The “Timeless” Winer

Wine: Woop Woop Shiraz 2013
Type: Dry, red
Vineyard: Woop Woop Winery (Australia)

Buy local or find it at

That name! How could you not want to try a bottle of this? A full-bodied, flavor-filled wine with a deep-hued color. It is richly scented that brings a smile and gives a long, soft and juicy palate. This is a mouthful, bursting with blackberry, blueberry jam and licorice.

The “Hippy” Winer

Wine: Barboursville Cabernet Franc Reserve 2012
Type: Red, Dry
Vineyard: Barboursville Vineyards (Virginia)

Buy local or find it at

A dark and rich garnet color revealed with brilliant clarity in the glass. I found intense, effusive flavors of ripe red berries along with notes of caramelized fig, cherry, and plum. This was a long-finishing, tannically vivid wine that had a remarkably soft palate.
