The “Timeless” Winer

The color is reminiscent of newly harvested straw. The scent is fresh citrus and peaches. Chilled, it is a beautiful wine that whispers, ‘Mmmm. Oysters on the half shell.’

The “Hippy” Winer

Wine: R Riesling Kabinett 2013
Type: White, dry (for a Riesling)
Vineyard: August Kesseler Winery, Germany

Buy local or find it at

A dry Riesling, as Rieslings go, with subtle aromas of apple and a taste of citrus on the palate – lemon to me but many others claim it is lime. I also can pick up a slight spiciness like that of ginger. This is a very refreshing wine that would go well with most sea fare and spicy Asian foods. I love the flavor of Riesling but do not care for the sweet ones, this was perfect! What makes this really special to me is it comes from the Rhinegau region which lies along the Rhine River. Many a glass of wine was it the Brian and I shared when we lived and played there. May you make some special memories over a bottle of this wonderful wine.
