Collector’s Series American Red NV: A lighter bodied dry red blend of 3 barrel aged varietals showcases pastry shop aromas of cinnamon and ripe cobbler fruit with a nice bite of tannin on the finish.

A classic Bordeaux blend.  Hints of clove, black currants and sandalwood (of all things).  Not harsh and velvet smooth on the tongue.

Wine: Heinz Eifel Riesling Spatlese 2011
Type: White, sweet
Vineyard: Heinz Eifel Winery, Germany

Buy local or find it at Wine.com

From the Mosel valley in Germany comes this wonderful wine. With the holidays coming, one might think of antipasto, cheese trays while gathering with family and friends. You cannot go wrong with this wine, it will pair very well with all those holiday get-together treats. It is sweet and full of flavors like lemon and tart apple. The taste lingers! My favorite way to enjoy it is with an aged parmesan and smoked salmon dip.
