Faces-TomJoeTom Joe
“Hops ‘r Better” Winer

Wine: 2012 Sangiovese Malbec Petite Sirah Cabernet Sauvignon
Type: Red
Vineyard: Ferrari-Carano

Buy local

“I rated this wine 74 in Quini but it was still an 8/10 wine.
Intense appearance, with full aromas. A medium-full-bodied red. The finish is layered. An overall good-excellent Sangiovese malbec Petite Sirah cabernet sauvignon blend from the United States.”
“This is the Life” Winer

Wine: Soave Classico
Type: White
Vineyard: Bolla

Buy local or find it at

Soave means “soft” in Italian, and the soft floral bouquet and clean pear and lemon flavors help this wine live up to its name.  A delicate almond aftertaste makes it the perfect quaff to lighter fare like grilled seafood, chicken, fish-based pastas, and entrée salads. It also makes a perfect aperitif.

The “Timeless” Winer

Wine: Tarima 2013
Type: Red Wine
Vineyard: Bodegas Volver Winery

Buy local or find it at

Another amazing wine from Bodegas – rich and full-bodied red wine, lots of flavor, an excellent Mourvedre.

The “Hippy” Winer

Wine: Meiomi Pinot Noir 2013
Type: Red, Dry
Vineyard: Meiomi Winery (California)

Buy local or find it at

I picked up this wine because the name caught my eye and I wasn’t disappointed with what I found.  The color was beautiful and the flavor was outstanding.  Neither heavy nor too dry, this baby fit the bill for an evening of cheese, dry sausage and crackers around the pinochle table.
